Re-Shoot on Friday 19th November

Once we had our rough-cuts for our music video, we decided as a group there was room for more footage (for the narrative parts). Scenes we thought we could add in where:

1) Both Frankie and George walking into their house together, (so the audience understand their relationship has been going on for a while and is serious; as they live together)

2a) Frankie and George on their sofa - cuddling and in love

2b) Frankie and George on their sofa - having an argument

2c) Frankie on her own on the sofa - lonely

3) Frankie and George doing something 'normal' together e.g making a cup of tea or walking the dog; but acting in a way that it makes it obvious to the audience that they are in love

 4) Frankie and George in bed together, cuddling, talking - nothing rude or explicit

I wasn't able to attend the shoot, but Vinuri, Frankie and George did an excellent job filming and acting, meaning we now have more good quality footage we can use.

Final Plan

This is the final plan for our shoot, it includes: Actors, Misc en Scene, Costume/Clothing and Locations.

Letter Of Permission

A member from our group, Vinuri Perera; compiled a letter to send to the Copyright holders of the song we would like to use 'Jamelia - Numb'.  This was the letter:

RE: Permission to use Jamelia's BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge cover track:

Dear Copyright holder,

I am an A-Level Media Studies Student from Park High School in Stanmore, and i am filming and producing a music video as part of my coursework.

As owners of the song, i would be grateful if you were to grant us permission to use your song; "Jamelia - Numb."

We are requesting non-exclusive rights and it is understood that full acknowledgement will be given to the source.

If i receive your permission for this track, it would only be viewed by my Media class, my teacher and the OCR examining board. It would not be released to large audiences but would be uploaded to our schools YouTube account.

Your prompt considerations of this request would be greatly appreciated.

Yours Sincerely,

Vinuri Perera

Storyboard

Overall as a group, we created 2 storyboards; our initial storyboard and our revised storyboard.

This was our inintial shotlist:

And this was our revised shotlist:

1.  Close up - Frankie is not looking at the camera; she is looking out of the window. It will be in Mrs Baldwin house. We'll need water to make it look like shes crying and she will be the only one in the shot.

2. Close up - Of the notebook. Witha tear dropping onto the page on the word 'Numb'. It will be in the house and will need a notebook, pen and water.

3. Mid shot - In the studio. We see her singing into a microphone, looking and listening to the music; this will be in black and white. It will be in Park High's music Studio, props will be at a minimal as we want the focus to be on the singer

4.  Long shot - To set scene and follow them (Frankie and George) as they are walking towards a bench. It will be in centenary Park. The actors will be acting as if they are in a loving relationship

5. Mid shot - In front of them sitting on the bench. They are talking, laughing etc.

6. Close up - Of her face as we want her to be the main focus of the shot. It will again be in the music studio and will be from a different angle and closer up.

7. Long shot - In Mrs Baldwins house. It will be from behind the TV looking at the couple when they are  together. The lighting will be quite dark, with the only real source of light coming from the TV.

8. Mid shot - Back into the studio, from a different angle than previously.

9. Long shot - From the side and quite low down. It will be in the Park on the bench and we watch George get up and he leaves Frankie who remains on the bench

10.  Close up - Back into the studio from a higher angle to show her vulrnability (the lyrics will match this vulrnability)
 11.  Mid shot - Frankie walking into the house. She walks into the house and closes the door. She looks happy looking down and holding a photo frame of George and herself in the picture frame.

12. Point of view shot - Looking at the stairs and seeing clothes scattered up the stairs. They see the clothes on the stairs of a girl and a boy indicating he cheated on her.
 13. Close up - Frankie's hand starts to drop with the photoframe. It has to be a close up of her hand so it is clear and obvious that its her hand and that the frame is dropping 14.  Extreme Close up - The frame dropping to the floor and smashing

15. Mid shot - Back to Frankie perfoming in the studio
